Caitlin Vlaeminck PhD, RN, FNP-BC, completed her doctoral studies at IU-Indy (formerly IUPUI), focusing on the osteoporosis patient population. She completed her MSN at IU South Bend with certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bethel College, Mishawaka, IN. Dr. Vlaeminck is the current Graduate Program Director for the MSN program and a Clinical Associate Professor in Nursing. She continues clinical practice as a Bone Health Nurse Practitioner at Beacon Bone and Joint Specialists in South Bend. She is the medical coordinator for the National Osteoporosis Foundation Osteoporosis Support Group at the LifePlex in Plymouth IN. Dr. Vlaeminck is also the Past President of the Coalition of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Indiana (CAPNI), which advocates and supports Advanced Practice Registered Nurses in scope, education, and legal matters. She is currently the Interim Assistant Dean of the Dwyer School of Health Sciences.
